Terms of Service
Version 1.2 · Last updated 15 July 2026 · Applies to all Tezeka accounts
Acceptance
By creating a Tezeka account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using Tezeka on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business. If you do not agree, do not use Tezeka.
What Tezeka is
Tezeka is a property management platform that helps landlords manage properties, generate and sign lease agreements, verify rent payments and produce tax-ready records. Tezeka is a software tool. It does not hold, transfer or guarantee any rent payments. All financial transactions remain between you and your tenants through your chosen payment method (MoMo, bank transfer, cash, etc.).
Account responsibilities
You are responsible for: - Keeping your login credentials secure and enabling two-factor authentication where available. - All activity under your account, including actions taken by agent accounts you create. - Ensuring that the information you enter is accurate. - Notifying us immediately at support@tezeka.com if you suspect unauthorised account access. You must be at least 18 years old to use Tezeka.
Acceptable use
You agree not to: - Use Tezeka for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Zambian law. - Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape or copy the platform. - Upload content that is fraudulent, defamatory or infringes third-party rights. - Use automated tools to flood the platform with requests. - Attempt to access another landlord's data or circumvent access controls. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
Lease agreements and documents
Tezeka provides professionally structured lease templates as a starting point, based on common Zambian residential, farm, commercial and apartment lease structures. They are not a substitute for legal advice. You are responsible for ensuring any agreement you issue is appropriate for your situation and complies with current Zambian law. Signed agreements include a SHA-256 document hash and a QR verification code. Tezeka stores signed documents and makes them available for download. We do not guarantee the legal enforceability of any document in any specific jurisdiction.
Payment verification
Tezeka's payment verification turns rent confirmation into a fast, organised workflow. You capture payment evidence — such as MoMo and bank screenshots — and Tezeka helps you match it to the right tenant and lease, surface anything that doesn't add up, and keep a clean, time-stamped record of every confirmation in one place. Tezeka does not process, hold, move or guarantee any payment. The final confirmation decision always remains yours as the landlord — Tezeka is the verification and record-keeping layer that makes that decision quicker and better evidenced.
Subscription and billing
Paid plans are billed in advance using mobile money (MoMo) or card, in Zambian Kwacha (ZMW), at the prices listed on the Tezeka pricing page. By subscribing, you commit to the plan you select and authorise Tezeka to charge your payment method on the agreed billing cycle until you cancel. Failed payments: if a scheduled payment fails, your plan stays active for a 5-day grace period while we retry. If payment is still not completed after 5 days, the subscription is suspended and your account becomes read-only until payment is completed. Your data is retained during this period, so you can pick up where you left off once you resubscribe.
Refund and Cancellation Policy
Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings within the app or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain full access to your plan until that date, after which your account moves to a read-only state. Your data, agreements, and payment records are preserved and remain accessible, and you may resubscribe at any time. No further charges are made after cancellation. Refunds. Subscription fees for a billing period that has already commenced are non-refundable, and we do not provide pro-rata refunds for partial months. We will, however, issue a full refund in the following cases: (a) duplicate or erroneous charges; (b) charges made after a cancellation was correctly submitted; or (c) a verified technical failure on our side that prevented access to the service for a substantial part of the billing period. Nothing in this policy limits any refund, remedy or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Zambian law. How to request a refund. Refund requests can be submitted directly through the app or by emailing support@tezeka.com with your account email and transaction reference, within 14 days of the charge. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7–14 business days, depending on your bank or mobile money provider. Plan changes. Upgrades take effect immediately, with the new rate applying from the next billing date. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. Properties above a downgraded plan's limit are archived, never deleted, and are restored automatically if you upgrade again.
Availability and support
We aim to keep Tezeka available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance. Emergency maintenance may occur without notice. Support is provided by email at support@tezeka.com.
Intellectual property
The Tezeka name, logo, platform software and all original content are owned by Tezeka. Your data (property records, tenant information, uploaded documents) remains yours. By using Tezeka, you grant us a limited licence to store and process your data solely to provide the service. We do not claim ownership over lease agreements you generate or documents you upload.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Zambian law, Tezeka's liability for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the total subscription fees you paid in the 3 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for: loss of data caused by your actions, decisions made based on AI-generated content, failed rent payments, lease disputes, tax penalties or regulatory non-compliance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Zambia. Disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved by negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to arbitration in Lusaka or, where arbitration is unavailable, to the courts of Zambia.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Tezeka after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept the updated terms, you may cancel your account before the effective date.
