Run student accommodation, bed by bed

A per-bed cockpit for occupancy, collections, deposits and renewals, plus billing a whole academic term as one price instead of monthly rent.

The per-bed operating desk

Each student property with beds generated under Buildings & units gets its own operating desk, and every hostel you run also rolls up into Student operations, reachable from any of them or from the command palette.

It reads bed occupancy, collections, payer identity, deposits and renewals in one place, built for a property where the tenant paying is often not the parent whose name is on the room.

Bill a whole term at once

  1. From the desk, choose Term billing.
  2. Add the academic term first if it does not exist yet: property, name, start and end dates.
  3. Set Price for the whole term, the figure you actually quote a parent, not a monthly rate, and choose how it is paid: all at the start, in equal instalments, or a deposit followed by the balance.
  4. Check the preview, what each student will owe and when, then Save price and Generate charges to create the instalments. Nothing is charged until you generate.

NoteThe last instalment absorbs any rounding, so the parts always add up to exactly the term price you quoted.

If something goes wrong

Generate charges is greyed out.

Save the term price first. Charges cannot be generated for a term with no price set.

I need beds for a hostel, not just rooms.

Generate them from Buildings & units on the property; a room with several beds is really several small units, one per bed.
